1. Keep your Cortisol under checks:
If losing weight is your goal, but you aren't keeping your stress levels in check, It can interfere in the health journey process and can lead to fat storage instead of burning.
2. Sleep deprivation.-
Lack of sleep can distrupt hunger hormones leading to overeating and affecting weight loss which then disrupts other hormones. It then leads to the beginning of vicious cycle of hormonal imbalance and further weight gain. Make sure you get enough sleep.
3. Cheat over treat:
It is a good idea to reward yourself while on diet but do check if it’s happening too often as most of your cheat foods are loaded with sugar, salt, and harmful chemical preservatives that can affect the result of the ongoing diet.
4. Pull up your socks:
Don’t just sit back as it’s not always about food. It is equally important to burn that stubborn fat and help you reach your health goals. You may be eating healthy but if it’s not coupled with adequate exercise, then the diet may not prove to be as effective.
5. Check your portion:
Eating too much or too little can affect the efficacy of a diet program. Opting for healthy foods mindlessly like fruits, nuts, seeds, hummus & guacamole can also hamper your health journey and put a question mark on the ongoing diet. Ensure that there is a balance and incorporate healthy fats too.
6. Variety is the key:
Do not be on a specific diet for too long as it’s all about making lifestyle changes gradually for more sustainable results than just juggling on different diets. Everybody is unique and their nutritional requirements differ.
